Springtime in the Rockies is not for the faint of heart. A week in May might be a combination of days with 34 degrees and several inches of snow, followed by a 72° day of glorious sunshine and breathtakingly beautiful blue skies only to be displaced with a dump of 5- 7 inches of more snow. Typically the end of the week may bring us all back to basking in 80° sunshine by mid-afternoon, and leaving us guessing as to what the next week will bring.
You never know. Between the 32° days and the 80° temperatures people often forget how to drive. Spring must be the best season for the tow truck industry. With so many lowlanders moving into Colorado who are accustom to Spring arriving and actually staying, they end up slipping and sliding into trouble. It’s not unusual to see cars in the ditch or off onto the median waiting for a tow truck to show up.
What do you think of when you want to go somewhere in style? What comes to mind for you; buying new clothes, riding in a limousine, booking a high end vacation with 24 hour catering service so all your needs can be met around the clock. Do all of the above rank high on your list? If you are celebrating an exceptional occasion then hiring a stretch limo, party bus or town car is a great idea, and don’t forget all the fixings that come with it. You don’t want to go half way for a special event. After all if you ordered an ice cream sundae would you skip the whipped cream and cherry?
Of course not – don’t be ridiculous!
Although we all should have the luxury of figuring out how to best express our personal panache, there are other issues at hand. Years ago there was an article written in Wired magazine that spoke to the concerns of over population. There are so many new worries taking up the headlines these days that the growing world population doesn’t loom as large as it used to in the minds of most people.
Together the 5 of us wanted to do something different and special for Mom and Dad’s 20th wedding anniversary. We are a close family and Mom and Dad are so in love it’s almost creepy. After all these years and so many kids, the light still shines in their eyes when they see each other. We are one of the lucky families, and we know it.
One of the best nights of my life was prom night when my date showed up in a limousine. I felt so special and it started the evening in such a magical way. I’ll never forget that feeling of being chauffeured from home to dinner, to the prom, to a party and then safely back home in a stretch limo with my friends. It was the kind of feeling I wanted to give to Mom and Dad to celebrate their 20th year wedding anniversary.
Getting a bead on something and going for it with passion and zeal can be the perfect path to success. When first embarking on an endeavor of some magnitude, it’s vital to be clearly in focus on the intended outcome, but remain flexible along the way.
Recently our limousine company needed an overhaul. We started the refurbishment as if it were a brand new company. We updated much of our fleet and decided to hire additional drivers. It took a lot of focus and flexibility to attain this type of growth, and it’s paying off.
As is the case with most things businesses grow in all directions and the luxury car rental space is no exception. Keeping up with our growing limo company has been a great learning experience and a big task to undertake. We knew what we wanted, but had to get there in ways that weren’t always as expected.
